Abstract

As smart cities evolve, the integration of IoT technologies in healthcare systems holds the potential to significantly improve health outcomes and accessibility. However, achieving digital inclusion remains a challenge, as disparities in access to technology and healthcare services persist among marginalized communities. This paper examines the role of IoT in bridging the healthcare gap in smart cities, focusing on how these technologies can enhance accessibility, equity, and affordability. By leveraging IoT for remote monitoring, personalized care, and real-time data analytics, IoT-enabled solutions can provide healthcare access to underserved populations. The paper discusses challenges related to infrastructure, digital literacy, and policy frameworks, offering recommendations for promoting inclusive health innovations that ensure equitable healthcare for all citizens.
