Abstract

Despite advancements in the diagnosis and management of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), the psychosocial impact of the disease on patients' quality of life remains an underexplored area. This paper investigates the psychological and lifestyle challenges faced by individuals with HCM, focusing on the effects of physical limitations, symptom burden, and anxiety related to sudden cardiac death. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the study examines how interventions such as counseling, lifestyle modifications, and cardiac rehabilitation programs can improve mental health outcomes and overall quality of life. This research emphasizes the need for holistic care models that address both the physical and emotional aspects of HCM, promoting patient-centered management and long-term well-being.
