Abstract

The management of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) has evolved with the development of new pharmacological agents, invasive therapies, and gene-editing techniques. This paper provides a detailed overview of the current treatment landscape, including beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and myosin inhibitors. It also examines the use of septal reduction therapy, such as surgical myectomy and alcohol septal ablation, in symptomatic patients. The study further explores emerging therapies like CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, which holds promise for directly correcting pathogenic mutations. By highlighting both traditional and innovative treatment options, this paper aims to inform clinicians about the best strategies for individualized patient care and the potential for future curative therapies.
