Abstract

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is often diagnosed using a combination of clinical evaluation and cardiac imaging techniques. This paper reviews the latest advancements in imaging modalities, including echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, and computed tomography (CT), for the accurate diagnosis and risk stratification of HCM. The study compares the efficacy of these methods in identifying key morphological features, such as myocardial fibrosis and left ventricular hypertrophy, that contribute to adverse outcomes. Additionally, the paper addresses emerging imaging techniques, such as strain imaging and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), and their role in predicting sudden cardiac death risk in HCM patients. Enhanced imaging techniques are crucial for tailored patient management and the optimization of therapeutic interventions.
